こんな思いが本誌を制作するきっかけになりました。

現状を憂う一方、日本には、いにしえから現代まで誇れる文化がたくさんあります。
そしてその文化を生み出し、育み、継承してきた人々がいます。
謙虚でありながら逞しく、繊細でありながら大胆な日本人の精神性。
日本文化を通じてこうしたサムライ魂を伝えていくのが本誌です。

海外の方には知らなかった日本の姿を。日本の方には忘れかけていた日本人の心を。

Japan as we see it today is somewhat deserted by the rest of the world. Our society is only attracted to material values. Does this mean Japan is doomed and sinking? These thoughts have become the trigger for starting our magazine.

Our big mission is based on the fact that Japan is rich in culture which it should be proud of. And people who create, nourish and preserve this culture have the spirit of being humble but strong, bold and yet delicate, which is the essence of traditional Japan. Our mission is hence to transmit the samurai spirit by introducing the traditional Japanese culture.

SAMURAI.JP aims to reveal the unknown Japan to the world and to reveal the forgotten Japan to the Japanese and thus to contribute to the betterment of Japan.
